This small-batch syrup is a 50/50 blend of sweet apple syrup from Temple Tapper's own orchard cider and rich birch syrup tapped right here in the woods of Temple, Maine — the only place in the state with a commercial birch syrup operation.
Try a truly unique, delicious flavor: apple and birch! A balanced blend of 50% Maine Apple Cider and 50% Birch Syrup, combining the rich, caramel-like depth of birch with the bright, fruity sweetness of apples.
It takes 120 gallons of birch sap to make 1 gallon of syrup (maple syrup needs 40). The birch season begins when the maple season ends, around the first of April, and it's a short season of just 1-3 weeks.
Made in and from the woods of Temple by the only commercial birch syrup producer in Maine.
Available in 125 ml, reusable Italian flip-top bottle.
Add to a chicken or pork glaze, make a BBQ sauce with it, add to apple pie, and more.
Refrigerate after opening.
Please note: this is not a maple syrup replacement.
