What are your business hours?
Our shop is online only. It's best to email or call us.
Can I shop in person?
We are not offering in person shopping at this time. However, if you are local, please select local pick up at checkout, and we will need to arrange a time for you to pick up your order.
Orders & Products
Can I make changes to my order?
Please email us right away at shop@downeast.com.
My item is a gift, and I don't want the gift recipient to see prices. Can you take the prices off of the packing slip?
All of our packing slips include an itemized list without prices.
Can I include a gift message?
Yes, you can include a gift message or order notes at checkout.
Do your prices change?
Yes, prices are subject to change.
Will I be charged sales tax?
We collect sales tax on orders shipping to a Maine address or local pickups.
What do I do if I received a damaged item or my order is lost in shipping?
Each case is different, so please use our contact form or email us at shop@downeast.com.
How does in-store pick up work?
If you’re close to our shop in Rockport, Maine you can select “In-Store Pick Up” instead of “Flat Rate” at checkout. We will email you the next business day to set up a pick up time between Monday-Friday 10am-4pm.

Shipping & Tracking
How much do you charge for shipping?
Domestic: We have a flat rate shipping fee of $7.50 for orders with a subtotal $24.99 or less and $10 for orders $25 and up.
International: Shipping is order dependent and will be calculated at checkout.
Is there a place to write delivery instructions?
If you leave delivery instructions in the comment section at checkout, we can write them on the package, but we cannot guarantee that USPS or UPS will follow them.
What shipping service(s) do you use?
We ship orders via USPS or UPS.
If you do not receive mail via USPS at your address, please let us know in the comment section of your order so that we will ship it via UPS.
When will my order ship?
We do our best to ship all orders the next business day, but it may take us a few days during the winter holiday season. Please allow up to 2 weeks processing time for Down East prints and posters.
How do I track my package?
Once your order is shipped, you will receive an email with the tracking information/link listed.
How do I change my shipping address?
If your order has not shipped yet, we will be able to change it manually. Please use our contact form or email us at shop@downeast.com to let us know.
Returns
How do I initiate a return?
Please indicate the reason why you are returning your item(s) on the provided packing slip and include it with your shipment. Please note that we do not accept returns of t-shirts or hats. You can ship items back to us at the following address:

Can I exchange an item?
Please contact us via our contact form or email us at shop@downeast.com.
How long is the return window?
We have a 90 day return window for unused/ unopened items.
When will I receive my refund?
Once we receive your item(s) in like new condition, we will initiate the refund, but it can take up to two weeks for the refund to appear on your credit card statement. If you used PayPal, you should see the refund sooner.
Please note that we cannot refund shipping costs.
Maine Makers
Are all of your products Maine made?
Most, but not all, of our products are Maine made, but all are Maine inspired and designed in Maine.
I'm a Maine maker, and I would like to be included in your shop. What is that process like?
Please use our contact form to send us info about your business. We’d love to see photos of your work and a link to your website or Etsy account too. However, please know that we are not always able to take on new makers into the shop.
