Maine Oyster Shell Ring Dish

Meant to keep rings and other small items safe by the kitchen sink or windowsill, this Maine decoupaged and gilded oyster shell ring dish is both beautiful and helpful.

These oyster shells are sustainably sourced from hardworking Maine oyster farmers to support Maine aquaculture.  Each fresh oyster is hand selected for consistency in shell size, shape, weight, thickness, color and feel. They are then hand shucked, and the delicious meat is preserved. After, the shells endure a rigorous sanitizing process over several days and are then fresh air dried.

The back sides of the shells are generously brushed with a non-toxic acrylic clear coat gloss to highlight and showcase the natural beauty of each unique shell while leaving a subtle, shiny finish.

Each shell is then delicately decoupaged with the finest images, hand gilded with a classic gold leaf, and finished with a final coat of clear gloss.
