“Saag” is the Punjabi word for leafy greens, and this Saag sauce is full of spinach, broccoli, and aromatic spices.
Each sauce is made in small batches based on the maker’s family recipes, rooted in an authentic regional flavor, and is
- sear chicken, meat, or vegetables in 3 tbsp ghee (clarified butter) until cooked
- stir in sauce*
- *to thin sauce, add 1 cup of chicken or vegetable stock
- simmer on low for 10 minutes
- salt to taste
- serve hot with rice and/ or naan bread
